HISTORY The Gallicano estate is centred on the "Villetta", an ancient house that the Pallavicinis bought from the family of Gian Lorenzo Bernini in 1729. A charming ancient park includes the fountain Bernini himself designed to reflect the Casino dell'Aurora in the hanging garden of the Pallavicini-Rospigliosi Palace in Rome. At the beginning of this century, strange destiny, the fountain was moved to where Bernini had his home. |
